  • 2006 Gold Buffalo
    The inaugural year for the American Gold Buffalo. This year the US Mint struck 24 karat gold bullion coins for the first time. Both bullion coins and collector proof coins were available.

    The 2010 Gold Buffalo was released earlier than the previous year. The bullion version of the coin went on sale to the United States Mint's network of authorized purchasers in late April 2010.

    The 2011 Gold Buffalo represented the sixth year of release for the popular 24 karat gold coin series. The one ounce bullion version of the coin went on sale in March 2011 and extended into the following year.

    The United States Mint began accepting orders for the bullion version of the 2014 Gold Buffalo on January 2, 2014. These coins were struck in 24 karat gold and priced based on the value of the precious metal content plus a small mark up.

    The United States Mint offered the 3015 American Gold Buffalo in both bullion and proof format. Both versions were struck in one ounce of 24 karat gold at the West Point Mint.
